Seems like I don't have enough to do today. I thought I would start a blog.
Today, I am baking bread for my family as Christmas presents (surprise!). I've got Rustic Italian Bread made with a poolish starter, Fresh Rosemary Rolls with a biga starter, Rosemary Focaccia with a biga starter (sounds so Italian...it'sa big-a starter!) and a soaked wheat recipe made in my almost dead bread maker. Just make it through the holidays, Bertha!
I'm also going to make whole wheat banana muffins for Mom and Harry, who are stopping by for Merry Christmas. And English muffins, bagels and fudge, lemon poppy seed bread, buckeyes.
Sources of recipes: the soaked wheat recipe was given to me by Linsay from http://thebenhasehome.com/soaked-whole-wheat-bread-in-the-bread-machine/. The lemon poppy seed bread is from http://thehappyhousewife.com/cooking/lemon-poppy-seed-bread/. The buckeye recipe is from my Grandmother. The starter recipes and the breads that go with them are from Amy's Bread.
Now, to get the boy outta bed so we can clean...

About Me

- Moma TNT
- I have two wonderful kids (Little Gurl and Da-Bom) with my best friend (my Dearie!). I am a former massage therapist who then went back to school to study Anthropology and Archaeology at the University of North Florida (Swoop!). I graduated nearly 20 years to the day from graduating high school (never say never!). I am a firm believer in living as close to the "original state" as possible. This has led me to grinding my own wheat and making my own bread. We eat as organic as we can afford and I make as many home remedies and cleaners as possible. Down with processed food! Fight to get our bodies back in our own hands.
